I've had the privilege of discussing Hurricane Katrina with individuals and families who made the life changing transition. Change is one thing but forced change is a horse of a different color. Many of our families, friends and neighbors were faced with this dramatic change. In this book I very subtly addressed Katrina as any life experience that tries to deposit in our lives rubbish, debris, chaos, confusion and devastation. Angela Thompson, the main character in this book, goes from her Katrinas to her Opportunities. I tried to address some of the challenges and experiences we face from day-to-day through the eyes of Angela Thompson in hopes of identifying opportunities of hope.
This book is dedicated to all of those who were directly or indirectly affected by Hurricane Katrina. It's also dedicated to those who are addressing other Life Katrinas. It is my hope that "Walk In My Shoes" will assist in healing the emotional trauma that we have to face in this roller coaster life.
